Shadows in Valhalla (Spoiler)
                                                    SHVA-EN020
Link Monster
Aleister the Invoker of Madness
DARK | Spellcaster-Type Link | ATK 1800 | Link-2
Active Link Arrow(s): Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right
2 monsters with different Types and different Attributes
This card's name becomes “Aleister the Invoker” while on the field or in the GY. If a monster is Fusion Summoned while you control this monster (except during the Damage Step): You can discard 1 card, and if you do, add 1 “Invocation” or “The Book of the Law” from your Deck to your hand. If this face-up card you control leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect: You can add 1 “Omega Summon” from your Deck to your hand.
(Secret Rare)
                                                    Rating: 2
Neither card this card can grab from the Deck are all that good (neither is this card quite frankly) but they aren't so bad that this card becomes pretty much useless. The Link Materials are kinda strict though.

                                                    SHVA-EN019
Spell Card

Forbidden Trapezohedron
Normal Spell
If you control exactly 2 monster card types (among Fusion, Synchro, and/or Xyz): Apply the following effect based on those types.
● Fusion and Synchro: Special Summon 1 "Outer Entity" Xyz Monster from your Extra Deck, and if you do, attach this card to it as material.
● Synchro and Xyz: Special Summon 1 "Elder Entity" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck.
● Xyz and Fusion: Special Summon 1 "Old Entity" Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck.
You can only activate 1 "Forbidden Trapezohedron" per turn.
(Secret Rare)
                                                    Rating: 1
All three effects are pretty strict and even if you meet the conditions, there's very little you get out of it as the monsters you bring out aren't properly Summoned and probably won't get to use their effects.

                                                    SHVA-EN018
Xyz Monster

Outer Entity Azathot
DARK | Fiend-Type Xyz | Rank 5 | ATK 2400 | DEF 0
3 Level 5 monsters
You can also Xyz Summon this card by using an "Outer Entity" Xyz Monster you control as material. (Transfer its materials to this card.) Cannot be used as material for an Xyz Summon. After this card was Xyz Summoned, your opponent cannot activate monster effects for the rest of that turn. If this card has at least 3 Xyz Materials (1 Fusion, 1 Synchro, and 1 Xyz Monster): You can detach 1 material from this card; destroy all cards your opponent controls.
(Secret Rare)
                                                    Rating: 2
You'll probably end up with three Xyz Materials whether you do so normally or by Ranking Up to it. Regardless, it has pretty weak stats for your efforts and can't be Xyz Material. Plus, the effects aren't all that great either as the 1st is one time only and only prevents the opponent from using monster effects while the 2nd is MUCH more strict.

                                                    SHVA-EN017
Xyz Monster

Outer Entity Nyarla
EARTH | Fiend-Type Xyz | Rank 4 | ATK 0 | DEF 2600
2 Level 4 monsters
When this card is Xyz Summoned: You can discard any number of cards; increase this card's Rank by 1 for each card discarded. Once per turn, if this card has Xyz Material: You can target 1 monster in your GY; detach all materials from this card, and if you do, attach that monster to this card as material, and if you do that, this card's Type and Attribute become that material's original Type and Attribute.
(Secret Rare)
                                                    Rating: 2
Generic Xyz Materials but apart from having 2600 DEF, the effects aren't going to be that useful. Plus, the 1st effect only works when it's Xyz Summoned while the other effect leaves it with half the Xyz Material it starts with just to change its Type and Attribute.

                                                    SHVA-EN016
Synchro Monster
Old Entity Chthugua
FIRE | Pyro-Type Synchro | Level 4 | ATK 2200 | DEF 200
1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters
If this card is Synchro Summoned: You can return all Rank 4 Xyz Monsters on the field to the Extra Deck. If you Fusion Summon using this card as a Fusion Material: Draw 1 card. An Xyz Monster that was Summoned using this card on the field as Xyz Material gains this effect.
● If it is Xyz Summoned: Draw 1 card.
(Secret Rare)
                                                    Rating: 1
Your efforts are practically in vain because both effects are either specific and/or just offer you a free draw. Plus those stats aren't all that great, even with generic Synchro Materials.

                                                    SHVA-EN015
Trap Card
Ninjitsu Art of Mirage-Transformation
Continuous Trap
Tribute 1 “Ninja” monster, then target 1 monster in your opponent's GY; Special Summon it to your field. It is also treated as a “Ninja” monster while this card is face-up on the field. When this card leaves the field, send that monster to the GY you can only activate 1 “Ninjitsu Art of Mirage-Transformation” per turn.
(Secret Rare)
                                                    Rating: 1
If you want a Ninja monster so badly, either use the one that you would've otherwise had before using this or revive one with better cards.

                                                    SHVA-EN014
Spell Card
Hidden Village of Ninjitsu Arts
Field Spell
If a “Ninja” monster is Summoned to your field: You can target 1 “Ninja” monster or 1 “Ninjitsu Art” card in your GY; add it to your hand, but you cannot activate cards, or the effects of cards, with that name for the rest of this turn. If a “Ninja” monster(s) or “Ninjitsu Art” card(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or an opponent’s card effect, you can banish 1 “Ninja” monster from your GY instead. You can only use each effect of “Hidden Village of Ninjitsu Arts” once per turn.
(Secret Rare)
                                                    Rating: 2
The 1st effect is pretty versatile but prevents you from using any cards with the name of the card you retrieve from your Graveyard. The other effect isn't that bad but it costs you a Ninja monster in your Grave.

                                                    SHVA-EN013
Effect Monster
Yellow Dragon Ninja
WIND | Dinosaur | Level 8 | ATK 3000 | DEF 1500
Cannot be Special Summoned, except with the effect of a "Ninja" monster or "Ninjitsu Art" card. Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can send 1 "Ninja" monster and 1 "Ninjitsu Art" card from your hand and/or face-up from your field to the GY, then target up to 2 Spells/Traps on the field; destroy them.
(Secret Rare)
                                                    Rating: 2
The effect is pretty bad, especially the side-effect that prevents it from being Special Summoned outside of with Ninja cards. It still has 3000 ATK to use as a beatstick, though.

                                                    SHVA-EN012
Effect Monster
Yellow Ninja
WIND | Warrior | Level 4 | ATK 1900 | DEF 1800
If this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower “Ninja” monster from your hand in Attack Position or face-down Defense Position, also you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except “Ninja” monsters. You can only use this effect of “Yellow Ninja” once per turn.
(Super Rare)
                                                    Rating: 3
Whether you use the effect or not, this guy has the ATK and DEF to withstand most monsters its Level and has no side-effects for using it on its own.

                                                    SHVA-EN011
Link Monster

Ninja Grandmaster Saizo
LIGHT | Warrior-Type Link | ATK 2000 | Link-2
Active Link Arrow(s): Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right
2 "Ninja" monsters
During your Main Phase: You can Set 1 “Ninjitsu Art” Spell/Trap directly from your Deck. You can only use this effect of “Ninja Grandmaster Saizo” once per turn. While this card points to a monster(s), that card cannot be targeted for an attack, also your opponent cannot target it with card effects.
(Secret Rare)
                                                    Rating: 2
Not very strong but it also doesn't requre anything too strict for Link Materials. Still, the card you Set by its effect will be pretty obvious.

                                                    SHVA-EN010
Spell Card
Goddess Urd's Verdict
Continuous Spell
Your opponent cannot target “Valkyrie” monsters you control with card effects, also they cannot be destroyed by your opponent’s card effects. Once per turn: You can declare 1 card name, then target 1 Set card your opponent controls; reveal the Set card, and if it was the declared card, banish it. Otherwise, banish 1 card you control.
(Super Rare)
                                                    Rating: 3
Even if you don't have the other two, this card still has some good uses, notably with its 1st effect and any card they or you revealed earlier.

                                                    SHVA-EN009
Spell Card
Goddess Verdande's Guidance
Continuous Spell
When this card is activated: If all monsters you control are “Valkyrie” monsters (min. 1), you can add 1 “Goddess Urd's Verdict” from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn: You can declare 1 type of card (Monster, Spell, or Trap); reveal the top card of your opponent’s Deck and if it was the declared type, they Set it to their field. Otherwise, they add it to their hand. You can only activate 1 “Goddess Verdande's Guidance” per turn.
(Super Rare)
                                                    Rating: 2
I wouldn't recommend trying to guess the opponent's top card, unless you're using Convulsion of Nature (and even that's not all that great of a strategy). Plus, it still has the same pitfalls as Skuld.

                                                    SHVA-EN008
Spell Card
Goddess Skuld's Oracle
Continous Spell
When this card is activated: If all monsters you control are “Valkyrie” monsters (min. 1), you can add 1 “Goddess Verdande's Guidance” from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn, during your Main Phase: You can look at the top 3 cards of your opponent’s Deck, and if you do, place them on top of their Deck in any order, but you cannot Normal or Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except Fairy monsters. You can only activate 1 “Goddess Skuld's Oracle” once per turn.
(Super Rare)
                                                    Rating: 2
In a Fairy Deck (notably one with Valkyries), this will probably prove useful but the effect is most useful with the other two cards.

                                                    SHVA-EN007
Spell Card
Mischief of the Time Goddess
Quick-Play Spell
Neither player can activate cards or effects in response to this card’s activation. Cannot be activated as Chain Link 2 or higher. At the end of your Battle Phase, if all monsters you control are “Valkyrie” monsters (min. 1): Send this card to the GY, also, immediately after this effect resolves, skip to the start of the Battle Phase of your next turn. If you do, you cannot activate “Mischief of the Time Goddess” until the end of that turn.
(Secret Rare)
                                                    Rating: 3
Konami restrained it to Valkyries, making Prince Ojin's Zero Turn Kill impossible here (not that it's all that likely anyway) but with the right cards in hand, this is still pretty good.

                                                    SHVA-EN006
Spell Card
Ride of the Valkyries
Normal Spell
Special Summon any number of “Valkyrie” monsters with different names from your hand. If you Special Summoned 3 or more monsters with this effect, you take no battle damage until the end of the next turn. During the End Phase of the turn you activated this card, shuffle all monsters you control into the Deck. You can banish this card from your GY; add 1 “Mischief of the Time Goddess” from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of “Ride of the Valkyries” once per turn.
(Secret Rare)
                                                    Rating: 2
We can't bring out multiple copies of the same Valkyrie like Zigfried did so this does lose a bit of playability but this has an extra perk that the original card did not (that we know of anyway). Plus, once it's been played and in the Grave, you can get Mischief of the Time Goddess and render the main side-effect of this card moot.

                                                    SHVA-EN005
Effect Monster
Fortune Chariot
WIND | Fairy-Type Union | Level 6 | ATK 1000 | DEF 2000
(This card is also always treated as a “Valkyrie” card.)
Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 Fairy monster you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it. If the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, destroy this card instead. The equipped monster can attack directly, but when it does so using this effect, the battle damage inflicted to your opponent is halved.
(Super Rare)
                                                    Rating: 2
While not very strong, Valhalla can bring it out more easily and then you'll be able to play another Valkyrie and make use of the effect. Still, attacking directly means it only deals half the damage.

                                                    SHVA-EN004
Effect Monster
Valkyrie Brunhilde
LIGHT | Fairy | Level 7 | ATK 1800 | DEF 2000
Unaffected by your opponent’s Spell effects. Gains 500 ATK for each monster your opponent controls. When an opponent’s monster declares an attack: You can have this card lose exactly 1000 DEF, and if you do, your “Valkyrie” monsters cannot be destroyed by battle this turn.
(Secret Rare)
                                                    Rating: 2
While your opponent's Spell effects can't do anything to it and it gains 500 ATK for each of their monsters, it's not very strong and preventing destruction in battle costs it 1000 DEF, which it will generally only be able to do twice. Plus, unless those monsters are in Defense Mode or The Sanctuary in the Sky is in play, you'll probably be taking some damage anyway.

                                                    SHVA-EN003
Effect Monster
Valkyrie Erste
LIGHT | Fairy | Level 6 | ATK 1600 | DEF 1800
If this card is Special Summoned from your hand by a Spell effect: You can target 1 “Mischief of the Time Goddess” in your GY; add it to your hand. If you control a “Valkyrie” monster other than “Valkyrie Erste” (Quick Effect): You can banish 1 monster from your opponent’s GY, then this card’s ATK becomes equal to the banished monster’s original ATK until the end of this turn. You can only use each effect of “Valkyrie Erste” once per turn.
(Super Rare)
                                                    Rating: 2
Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen is an obvious choice to use with this as it was designed to support high-level Fairy-Type monsters and it's a Spell Card included in this set. Plus, it gets a pretty decent Spell Card that has been either lost or used up previously. The ATK change effect isn't too bad either but requires you to have another differently named Valkyrie monster out and doesn't keep it for long.

                                                    SHVA-EN002
Effect Monster
Valkyrie Zweite
LIGHT | Fairy | Level 5 | ATK 1600 | DEF 1600
If this card is Summoned: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls; destroy it. After damage calculation, if this card battled: You can target 1 Continuous Spell in your GY; add it to your hand. You can only use each effect of “Valkyrie Zweite” once per turn.
(Super Rare)
                                                    Rating: 1
With only 1600 ATK and DEF for a Level 5 monster and pretty poor effects, it's just not worth the effort, even with Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen.

                                                    SHVA-EN001
Effect Monster
Valkyrie Dritte
LIGHT | Fairy | Level 4 | ATK 1000 | DEF 1600
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 “Valkyrie” card from your Deck to your hand, except "Valkyrie Dritte". You can only use this effect of "Valkyrie Dritte" once per turn. Gains 200 ATK for each of your opponent’s banished monsters.
(Super Rare)
                                                    Rating: 2
Zigfried's Valkyries are finally here and they've gotten a buff from the anime but this one wasn't given a big enough of one to become all that useful.
Pendulum Evolution (Spoiler)
                                                    PEVO-EN010
Pendulum Monster

Harmonizing Magician
DARK | Spellcaster, Pendulum and Tuner | Level 4 | ATK 0 | DEF 0 | Scale 8
All monsters you control gain 100 ATK and DEF for each face-up "Magician" Pendulum Monster with different names in your Extra Deck.

Cannot be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck. Cannot be used as Material for a Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz Summon, unless all other Materials are "Magician" Pendulum Monsters. When this card is Pendulum Summoned from the hand: You can Special Summon 1 "Magician" Pendulum Monster from your Deck in Defense Position, except "Harmonizing Magician", but it has its effects negated, also banish it when it leaves the field. You can only use this effect of "Harmonizing Magician" once per turn.
(Ultra Rare)

                                                    Rating: 1
How can she harmonize with anything when she has so many restraints that few monsters can work with her? She doesn't even have any ATK and DEF to her name.

                                                    PEVO-EN009
Xyz Monster

Timestar Magician
DARK | Spellcaster-Type Xyz | Rank 4 | ATK 2400 | DEF 1200
2 Level 4 "Magician" Pendulum Monsters
Must first be Xyz Summoned with the above Xyz Materials. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; add to your hand, 1 DARK Spellcaster-Type monster from your Deck, Graveyard, or face-up from your Extra Deck. Once per turn, if a Pendulum Monster Card(s) in your Monster Zone or Pendulum Zone would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can send 1 Spellcaster-Type monster from your Deck to the Graveyard instead.
(Ultra Rare)

                                                    Rating: 2
I was all set to rate it at least 3 out of 5 but can't thanks to its Xyz Material requirements and the very first line of its effect. The other effects aren't that great and it's really the adding of the DARK Spellcaster and its ATK and DEF that make it worth 2 stars.

                                                    PEVO-EN008
Trap Card

Time Pendulumgraph
Continuous Trap
Your opponent cannot target Spellcaster-Type monsters you control with Trap Cards or effects. You can only use the following effect of "Time Pendulumgraph" once per turn. You can target 1 "Magician" Pendulum Monster Card in your Monster Zone or Pendulum Zone, and 1 card your opponent controls; destroy them. Then, if this effect did not destroy 2 cards, you can send 1 card on the field to the Graveyard.
(Ultra Rare)

                                                    Rating: 2
Obviously designed to work with the previous card but it too is more restrained with the other effects.

                                                    PEVO-EN007
Spell Card

Star Pendulumgraph
Continuous Spell
Your opponent cannot target Spellcaster-Type monsters you control with Spell Cards or effects. If a face-up "Magician" Pendulum Monster Card(s) leaves your Monster Zone or Pendulum Zone: Add 1 "Magician" Pendulum Monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Star Pendulumgraph" once per turn.
(Ultra Rare)

                                                    Rating: 2
Finally a more generic card and one for Spellcasters too. The problem is the other effect is more restrained.

                                                    PEVO-EN006
Pendulum Monster

Purple Poison Magician
DARK | Spellcaster-Type Pendulum | Level 4 | ATK 1200 | DEF 2100 | Scale 1
Once per turn, if your DARK Spellcaster-Type monster battles, before damage calculation: You can activate this effect; that monster gains 1200 ATK (until the end of the Damage Step), then destroy this card.

(This card is always treated as a "Fusion Dragon" card.)
If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can target 1 face-up card on the field; destroy it.
(Ultra Rare)

                                                    Rating: 2
Purple Poison Magician joins the ranks of every card before it in this set by having mediocre effects and stats, though its DEF will help it last a bit longer. The Scale is once again pretty much the only reason its rating is as high as it is.

                                                    PEVO-EN005
Pendulum Monster

White Wing Magician
WIND | Spellcaster, Pendulum and Tuner | Level 4 | ATK 1600 | DEF 1400 | Scale 1
Once per turn, when an activated card or effect resolves that targets a DARK Spellcaster-Type monster you control, negate that effect, then destroy this card.

(This card is always treated as a "Synchro Dragon" card.)
If this Pendulum Summoned card is used for a Synchro Summon, banish it.
(Ultra Rare)

                                                    Rating: 2
I like that it's a Tuner monster with a low Pendulum Scale but can't rate it any higher thanks to its Monster Text's side effect.

                                                    PEVO-EN004
Pendulum Monster

Black Fang Magician
DARK | Spellcaster-Type Pendulum | Level 4 | ATK 1700 | DEF 800 | Scale 8
Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; its ATK becomes half its current ATK (until the end of this turn), then destroy this card.
(This card is always treated as an "Xyz Dragon" card.)
If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can target 1 DARK Spellcaster-Type monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it.
(Ultra Rare)

                                                    Rating: 2
This guy has a better Monster Text effect given what's already available but like Double Iris, there's not much else to work with when using him.

                                                    PEVO-EN003
Pendulum Monster

Double Iris Magician
DARK | Spellcaster-Type Pendulum | Level 4 | ATK 1500 | DEF 1000 | Scale 8
Once per turn: You can target 1 DARK Spellcaster-Type monster you control; apply this effect to it, then destroy this card. Once applied, double any battle damage that monster inflicts to your opponent this turn if it battles an opponent's monster.

(This card is always treated as a "Pendulum Dragon" card.)
If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can add 1 "Pendulumgraph" card from your Deck to your hand.
(Ultra Rare)

                                                    Rating: 2
Based on the two monster that fit this guy's Monster Text criteria, he and you won't have much to choose from and he's not a whole lot better either.

                                                    PEVO-EN002
Pendulum Monster

Chronograph Sorcerer
DARK | Spellcaster-Type Pendulum | Level 6 | ATK 2000 | DEF 1700 | Scale 8
During your Main Phase: You can destroy this card, and if you do, take 1 "Timegazer Magician" from your hand or Deck, and either place it in your Pendulum Zone or Special Summon it. You can only use this effect of "Chronograph Sorcerer" once per turn.

If a card(s) you control is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, then you can Special Summon 1 monster from your hand. You can banish this card you control, plus 4 monsters from your hand, field, and/or Graveyard (1 each with "Pendulum Dragon", "Xyz Dragon", "Synchro Dragon", and "Fusion Dragon" in their names); Special Summon 1 "Supreme King Z-ARC" from your Extra Deck. (This is treated as a Fusion Summon.)
(Ultra Rare)

                                                    Rating: 2
Since this card is basically identical to Astrograph Sorcerer, right down to its playability, I can't really say much about it that hasn't been said with Astrograph Sorcerer.

                                                    PEVO-EN001
Pendulum Monster

Astrograph Sorcerer
DARK | Spellcaster-Type Pendulum | Level 7 | ATK 2500 | DEF 2000 | Scale 1
During your Main Phase: You can destroy this card, and if you do, take 1 "Stargazer Magician" from your hand or Deck, and either place it in your Pendulum Zone or Special Summon it. You can only use this effect of "Astrograph Sorcerer" once per turn.

If a card(s) you control is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, then you can choose 1 monster in the Graveyard, Extra Deck, or that is banished, and that was destroyed this turn, and add 1 monster with the same name from your Deck to your hand.

                                                    Rating: 2
The effects and stats aren't that good but the Scale sure is and there's no drawbacks to use it exclusively to Pendulum Summon.
