Unrated Card Ratings (Page 26)
Duelist Pack: Rivals of the Pharaoh
DPRP-EN035 | |
Exchange of the Spirit Normal Trap If both players have 15 or more cards in their Graveyards: Pay 1000 LP; each player swaps the cards in their Graveyard with the cards in their Deck, then shuffles their Deck. You can only activate 1 "Exchange of the Spirit" per Duel. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | It was too overpowered before but now it's not even worth playing as it requires both players' Graveyards to have at least 15 cards and even if you resolve the effect successfully, your other copies won't do you any good. |
DPRP-EN013 | |
Dark Magician of Chaos DARK / Spellcaster / Level 8 / ATK 2800 / DEF 2600 During the End Phase, if this card was Normal or Special Summoned this turn: You can target 1 Spell Card in your Graveyard; add it to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Dark Magician of Chaos" once per turn. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, after damage calculation: Banish that opponent's monster. If this face-up card would leave the field, banish it instead. RARE |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Well for all the playability it had before, it's certainly lost much of that with this erratum. In fact, the first effect is now too slow to be worthwhile, not to mention it can only be used once per turn. |
DPRP-EN011 | |
Dark Sanctuary Field Spell If a "Spirit Message" card would be placed on your field with "Destiny Board", you can Special Summon it as a Normal Monster (FiendType/DARK/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) instead, and if you do, it is unaffected by card effects, except "Destiny Board", and cannot be targeted for attacks, but does not prevent your opponent from attacking you directly. When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Toss a coin and if the result is heads, negate the attack, and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the current ATK of that monster your opponent controls. ULTRA RARE |
|
Rating: | 3 |
Comments: | It mimics the anime effect quite well and gives Destiny Board some support, not to mention can help stall until your better cards come up. |
DPRP-EN010 | |
Tribute Burial Normal Spell You cannot Special Summon for the rest of this turn. Once during this turn, you can conduct a Tribute Summon that requires 2 Tributes by banishing 1 monster from each Graveyard instead of Tributing (it is still treated as a Tribute Summon). SUPER RARE |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Yami Marik used this against Joey to bring out Helpoemer but we're forced to use it on 2 Tribute monsters, making it utterly pointless as you're not changing how the monster is Summoned. |
DPRP-EN009 | |
Lullaby of Obedience Normal Spell Pay 2000 LP and declare 1 Monster Card name; your opponent looks at their Deck, reveals 1 of the declared monsters if there is any, and applies 1 of these effects. ● Add it to the hand of the player who activated this card. ● The player who activated this card Special Summons it to their field in Attack Position, ignoring its Summoning conditions. ULTRA RARE |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Twice as costly to activate it as in the anime, not to mention your opponent gets to choose what you initially do with it and no doubt won't be letting you Special Summon it. |
DPRP-EN008 | |
Neutron Blast Normal Spell Target 1 Fusion Summoned "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" you control; this turn, it can make a second and third attack during each Battle Phase, also when it attacks, your opponent's cards and effects cannot be activated until the end of the Damage Step. ULTRA RARE |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | It may allow the affected monster to attack three times unopposed but you can't even use it on a BEUD revived from the Graveyard or anything. |
DPRP-EN007 | |
Magnet Force Normal Trap This turn, all monsters on the field whose original Types are Machine or Rock, are unaffected by your opponent's monster effects (except their own). SUPER RARE |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | The card that helped take down Atem's God Cards but while it won't work on them with our version, it still does have some minor benefits. |
DPRP-EN006 | |
Magnet Reverse Quick-Play Spell Target 1 of your Machine or Rock-Type monsters, that is banished or is in your Graveyard, that cannot be Normal Summoned/Set; Special Summon it. SUPER RARE |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | There are only two viable targets with this and only one of them currently exists in the TCG. Even when we get the other, you're still left with a pretty well useless card. |
DPRP-EN005 | |
Silent Burning Quick-Play Spell During the Battle Phase, if you control a "Silent Magician" monster and have more cards in your hand than your opponent: Each player draws until they have 6 cards in their hand. This card's activation and effect cannot be negated. You can banish this card from your Graveyard; add 1 "Silent Magician" monster from your Deck to your hand. SUPER RARE |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | I'm not falling for the trick to have this card resemble Card of Sanctity's anime effect and it's an obvious reference too. The fact that it can't be negated is pointless because no one would negate such a worthless card, especially since the opponent gets free cards and will draw more cards than you. |
DPRP-EN004 | |
Silent Sword Slash Quick-Play Spell Target 1 "Silent Swordsman" monster you control; that monster you control gains 1500 ATK and DEF, and if it does, until the end of this turn, it is unaffected by your opponent's card effects. This card's activation and effect cannot be negated. You can banish this card from your Graveyard; add 1 "Silent Swordsman" monster from your Deck to your hand. SUPER RARE |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | If you have to use this to power up your Silent Swordsmans, you clearly need a better strategy because if the affected monster is flipped face-down, you lose all the benefits this has to offer and are left with the same weakling you chose to add into your Deck. |
DPRP-EN003 | |
|
Silent Paladin LIGHT / Fairy / Level 4 / ATK 500 / DEF 1500 When this card is Normal Summoned: You can add 1 "Silent Swordsman LV3" or "Silent Magician LV4" from your Deck to your hand. During either player's turn, when a Spell Card is activated that targets exactly 1 monster you control (and no other cards): You can negate the activation. This effect can only be used once while this card is face-up on the field. If this card is destroyed by battle, or if this card in its owner's control is destroyed by an opponent's card effect: You can target 1 LIGHT "LV" monster in your Graveyard; add it to your hand. ULTRA RARE |
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Normal Summoning it is very poor, especially considering it has such low ATK and then you get a monster that is only twice as strong and just as pitiful. Plus, it'll only negate one Spell Card, if that, unless you foolishly decide to run more than one. No, the other effect is pretty bad too. |
DPRP-EN002 | |
|
Silent Magician LIGHT / Spellcaster / Level 4 / ATK 1000 / DEF 1000 Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by Tributing 1 Spellcaster-Type monster, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card gains 500 ATK for each card in your hand. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a Spell Card is activated: You can negate the activation. If this card is destroyed by battle, or if this card in its owner's control is destroyed by an opponent's card effect: You can Special Summon 1 "Silent Magician" monster from your hand or Deck, except "Silent Magician", ignoring its Summoning conditions. ULTRA RARE |
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Same as DPRP-EN001's comments. |
DPRP-EN001 | |
|
Silent Swordsman LIGHT / Warrior / Level 4 / ATK 1000 / DEF 1000 Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by Tributing 1 Warrior-Type monster, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn, during the Standby Phase: This card gains 500 ATK. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a Spell Card is activated: You can negate the activation. If this card is destroyed by battle, or if this card in its owner's control is destroyed by an opponent's card effect: You can Special Summon 1 "Silent Swordsman" monster from your hand or Deck, except "Silent Swordsman", ignoring its Summoning conditions. ULTRA RARE |
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | It shall be forever silenced because those stats are too weak to help and the effect is too slow and otherwise too mediocre to be any good. |
Dragons of Legend: Unleashed (Continued)
DRL3-EN073 | |
Special Schedule Normal Spell Target 1 Machine-Type monster in your Graveyard with 3000 or more ATK; Special Summon that target in face-up Defense Position. You can only activate 1 "Special Schedule" per turn. If this Set card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can target 1 Level 10 Machine-Type monster in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand. ULTRA RARE |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | It can't get Ancient Gear Golem for obvious reasons but Night Express Knight is a somewhat worthy target but there still won't be that many good ones to pick from. |
DRL3-EN072 | |
|
Night Express Knight EARTH / Machine / Level 10 / ATK 3000 / DEF 3000 Cannot be Special Summoned from the Deck. You can Normal Summon this card without Tributing, but its original ATK becomes 0. ULTRA RARE |
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | At least this guy can be played any way you want without side-effect aside from being Summoned by its effect but doesn't have any other bonuses. |
DRL3-EN071 | |
|
Snow Plow Hustle Rustle EARTH / Machine / Level 10 / ATK 2500 / DEF 3000 When your opponent's monster declares a direct attack, while you control a card(s) in your Spell & Trap Zone: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, then destroy as many cards in your Spell & Trap Zone as possible, and if you do, inflict 200 damage to your opponent for each destroyed card. You cannot Special Summon any monsters, except Machine-Type monsters. ULTRA RARE |
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Though released years ago, I never rated these last three cards due to their release not being in the US. That aside, it can help defend your LP and you'll need that when you lose your Spell and Trap Cards in the process but beyond that, it's not much to work with, especially since you can only Special Summon Machine-Type monsters while it's out. |
DRL3-EN040 | |
Flower Gathering Normal Spell Special Summon 4 "Flower Cardian" monsters with 100 ATK and different names from your Deck in Attack Position, but they have their effects negated, also they cannot be Tributed for a Tribute Summon. You can only activate 1 "Flower Gathering" per turn. You cannot Normal or Special Summon other monsters during the turn you activate this card, except "Flower Cardian" monsters. ULTRA RARE |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | With Flower Cardians only having one Synchro and no Xyz Monsters, you aren't really going to get much out of this since you cannot use the new monsters for a Tribute Summon. |
DRL3-EN039 | |
|
Flower Cardian Lightshower DARK / Warrior-Type Synchro / Level 8 / ATK 3000 / DEF 3000 1 Tuner + 3 non-Tuner monsters Your opponent cannot target "Flower Cardian" monsters you control with card effects, also those monsters cannot be destroyed by card effects. During your opponent's Draw Phase, if they draw a card(s) for their normal draw: Inflict 1500 damage to your opponent. Once per turn, during your opponent's End Phase: Activate 1 of these effects; ● Skip the Draw Phase of your next turn. ● This card has its other effects negated until your opponent's next Standby Phase. SECRET RARE |
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Since you're forced to pick one of the two bad effects, that brings this card's rating down as does needin 3 non-Tuners but the stats and high damage aren't bad. |
DRL3-EN038 | |
Flower Cardian Paulownia with Phoenix DARK / Warrior / Level 12 / ATK 2000 / DEF 2000 Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by Tributing 1 Level 12 "Flower Cardian" monster, except "Flower Cardian Paulownia with Phoenix". If this card is Special Summoned: Draw 1 card, and if you do, show it, then you can Special Summon it if it is a "Flower Cardian" monster. Otherwise, send it to the Graveyard. Once per turn, when this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can draw 1 card. ULTRA RARE |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | The original Paulownia at least could be Summoned any way possible whereas this guy too has literally a high requirement and an equally risky effect to its friends. |
DRL3-EN037 | |
|
Flower Cardian Willow with Calligrapher DARK / Warrior-Type Tuner / Level 11 / ATK 2000 / DEF 2000 Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by Tributing 1 Level 11 "Flower Cardian" monster, except "Flower Cardian Willow with Calligrapher". If this card is Special Summoned: Draw 1 card, and if you do, show it, then you can Special Summon it if it is a "Flower Cardian" monster. Otherwise, send it to the Graveyard. When this card is used as Synchro Material, you can treat it and all other Synchro Materials (that have a Level) as Level 2 monsters. ULTRA RARE |
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Even being a Tuner doesn't help this guy's playability because its effects are just as risky as two of the previous cards'. |
