Shadow of Infinity (Page 4)

*Also available as an Ultimate Rare card
**SOI-ENSE1-SE4 are not part of the main set and are only included because of their relationship to this set via set ID.
SOI-ENSE4
Mesmeric Control
Normal Spell
During your opponent's next turn after you activate this card, your opponent cannot change the battle positions of monsters, except with a card effect.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 1
Comments: The only purpose to use this is to stall for more time but it's just not that great a card as you can destroy those Monsters with Dark Hole or Raigeki.
SOI-ENSE3
Windstorm of Etaqua
Normal Trap
Change the battle positions of all face-up monsters on your opponent's side of the field.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 3
Comments: If you're faced with 5 powerful Monsters, this card can help turn things around, unless of course one of those Monsters is Jinzo. A good card overall.
SOI-ENSE2
Riryoku
Normal Spell
Halve the ATK of 1 face-up monster and add the same amount to the ATK of another face-up monster, until the end of this turn.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: Like Acid Trap Hole this has its ups and downs but isn't that great a card overall.
SOI-ENSE1
Acid Trap Hole
Normal Trap
Select 1 face-down Defense Position monster. Flip it face-up, and if the DEF of the monster is 2000 points or less, destroy the monster. If the DEF is more than 2000 points, return the monster to face-down Defense Position.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: This is a very situational card but not a great one either as the Monster must have less than 2000 points to be destroyed, which is okay but not great.
SOI-EN060*
Malfunction
Counter Trap
Pay 500 Life Points. Negate the activation of a Trap Card and return it to its original position.
RARE
Rating: 1
Comments: I'd rather pay 1000 lifepoints using Seven Tools and negate the Trap Card activation instead of this so use Seven Tools instead.
SOI-EN059*
Goblin Out of the Frying Pan
Counter Trap
Pay 500 Life Points. Negate the activation of a Spell Card and return it to the owner's hand.
RARE
Rating: 1
Comments: 500 lifepoints isn't too bad unless to return a Spell Card negated by this card to your opponent's hand. Spell Shield is a much better card to use than this.
SOI-EN058*
Option Hunter
Normal Trap
You can only activate this card when a monster on your side of the field is destroyed as a result of battle and sent to the Graveyard. Increase your Life Points by the original ATK of the destroyed monster.
RARE
Rating: 1
Comments: While this card is okay Draining Shield is better as your opponent's attack is negated and you gain lifepoints equal to that Monster's ATK.
SOI-EN057
Success Probability 0%
Normal Trap
Send 2 random Fusion Monsters from your opponent's Fusion Deck to the Graveyard.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: 0% is indeed the probability of success... of you or the number of people dumb enough to activate this card.
SOI-EN056
Full Salvo
Normal Trap
After the activation of this card, send your entire hand to the Graveyard. Inflict 200 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points for each card you sent to the Graveyard by this effect.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Just bad. Discarding your entire hand just to inflict 200 x the number of cards discarded to your opponent's lifepoints isn't too good at all so don't use this card.
SOI-EN055
Generation Shift
Normal Trap
Destroy 1 face-up monster on your side of the field. Add 1 card from your Deck to your hand with the same name as the destroyed card.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: What's to like about this card? You destroy one of your own Monsters just to add a Monster with the same name as the destroyed Monster to your hand. Simply not worth playing.
SOI-EN054
Next to be Lost
Normal Trap
Select 1 face-up monster on your side of the field. Send 1 card from your Deck to the Graveyard with the same name as the selected card.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: This card is next to be lost but last to be found as it has nothing decent to make it playable.
SOI-EN053*
Karma Cut
Normal Trap
Discard 1 card from your hand. Remove from play 1 face-up monster on your opponent's side of the field. If there is a card(s) in your opponent's Graveyard with the same name as the removed monster, also remove from play that card(s).
RARE
Rating: 1
Comments: Use Compulsory Evacuation Device instead.
SOI-EN052*
Damage Condenser
Normal Trap
You can only activate this card by discarding 1 card from your hand when you take Battle Damage to your Life Points. Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck with ATK equal to or less than the Battle Damage you took, in Attack Position.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 1
Comments: Don't use this except in Crowler decks and for everywhere else, use Mirror Force, Negate Attack or Magic Cylinder instead.
SOI-EN051
Attack Reflector Unit
Normal Trap
Tribute 1 "Cyber Dragon" on your side of the field to activate this card. Special Summon 1 "Cyber Barrier Dragon" from your hand or Deck.
COMMON
Rating: 3
Comments: Tributing Cyber Dragon for a 2400 ATK Monster isn't half bad especially when the Monster has a decent effect!
SOI-EN050
Miracle Kids
Normal Trap
Decrease the ATK of 1 of your opponent's monsters by 400 points for each "Hero Kid" in your Graveyard, until the End Phase.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: 400 ATK points can make a difference but not a big one. 1200 points can make a rather large difference so it's best to use this with 3 Hero Kids.
SOI-EN049
Super Junior Confrontation
Normal Trap
You can only activate this card when your opponent's monster declares an attack. Negate the battle, and 1 monster with the lowest ATK in face-up Attack Position on your opponent's side of the field battles against 1 monster with the lowest DEF in face-up Defense Position on your side of the field. After that battle ends, end the Battle Phase.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Chances are, the lowest DEF on your side of the field will be higher than the lowest ATK on your opponent's field. If you want to use this, use it in a Jaden deck.
