Rise of the Dragon Lords Structure Deck (SDRL-EN) Card Ratings
1. This list excluides the duplicate
cards. 2. Card gallery: https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Set_Card_Galleries:Rise_of_the_Dragon_Lords_Structure_Deck_(TCG-EN-1E |
SDRL-EN037 Trap Card Draining Shield Normal Trap Negate the attack of 1 of your opponent's monsters and gain Life Points equal to its ATK. (Common) Rating: 3 Decent for just about any Deck including stall and LP gain! |
SDRL-EN036 Trap Card Sakuretsu Armor Normal Trap Activate only when your opponent declares an attack. Destroy the attacking monster. (Common) Rating: 2 While not the worst card to use, it's not the best to use either since Mirror Force destroys all Attack Position monsters not just the attacking monster. |
SDRL-EN035 Trap Card Magic Jammer Counter Trap Discard 1 card. Negate the activation of a Spell Card and destroy it. (Common) Rating: 3 Discard a bad card to negate a Spell Card effect and destroy it! The downside is that DW monsters won't get Special Summoned since the discard effect is a cost. |
SDRL-EN034 Trap Card Call of the Haunted Continuous Trap Select 1 monster from your Graveyard and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. When this card is removed from the field, destroy the monster. When the monster is destroyed, destroy this card. (Common) Rating: 3 A decent card to use, especially on Jinzo or Elemental Hero Wildheart! What hurts it is not being destroyed if the monster it brought back is Tributed. |
SDRL-EN033 Trap Card Dust Tornado Normal Trap Destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls. You can then Set 1 Spell or Trap Card from your hand. (Common) Rating: 2 An okay surprise for your opponent as to have them waste their MST or Heavy Storm but still, MST is far better since it can be used with Jinzo or Royal Decree face up on the field while DT cannot. |
SDRL-EN032 Trap Card Malevolent Catastrophe Normal Trap Activate only when your opponent's monster declares an attack. Destroy all Spell and Trap Cards. (Common) Rating: 2 An overall pretty bad card. Not only does it require your opponent to attack to use the card, it cannot be used with Jinzo or Royal Decree on the field. |
SDRL-EN031 Spell Card Mausoleum of the Emperor Field Spell Both players can Normal Summon or Set monsters without Tribute(s) by paying 1000 Life Points x the number of monsters needed to Tribute Summon them. (Common) Rating: 1 It is one of Aster Phoenix's worst cards since you have to pay 1000 LPs per Tribute your monster needed, which can be useful if high level monsters are the only monsters your hand contains but overall not great. |
SDRL-EN030 Spell Card Brain Control Normal Spell Pay 800 Life Points. Select 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. Take control of it until the End Phase. (Common) Rating: 3 At a cost of only 800 LPs, taking control of a monster is pretty small, especially if the monster is used for a Tribute Summon or monster effect. |
SDRL-EN029 Spell Card Lightning Vortex Normal Spell Discard 1 card. Destroy all face-up monsters your opponent controls. (Common) Rating: 3 A pretty powerful card with a low cost! What hurts it is it only destroys face up monsters. |
SDRL-EN028 Spell Card Mystik Wok Quick-Play Spell Tribute 1 monster. Select either its ATK or DEF and gain that many Life Points. (Common) Rating: 1 Having to Tribute a monster to gain LPs is pretty bad and shows that you're desperate. Don't use this card and if you're running LP gain, find a better card. |
SDRL-EN027 Spell Card Big Bang Shot Equip Spell The equipped monster gains 400 ATK. During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. When this card is removed from the field, the equipped monster is removed from play. (Common) Rating: 2 The +400 is pretty bad so if you want to use this card, do so on a monster that's already strong like Gemini Elf. Otherwise, don't use this. |
SDRL-EN026 Spell Card Terraforming Normal Spell Add 1 Field Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. (Common) Rating: 3 Easily fish out Umi, ALO, Molten Destruction and TSiTS! |
SDRL-EN025 Spell Card A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon Normal Spell Return 1 face-up Level 5 or higher Dragon-Type monster you control to the owner's hand and destroy all Spell and Trap Cards. (Common) Rating: 1 Only use this card in Kaiba Decks and in other Decks, use Heavy Storm instead. |
SDRL-EN024 Spell Card Premature Burial Equip Spell Pay 800 Life Points. Select 1 monster from your Graveyard, Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position, and equip it with this card. When this card is destroyed, destroy the equipped monster. (Common) Rating: 3 Pay a little to get a lot as you can Special Summon just about any monster in your Graveyard! The only downside is that the monster becomes equipped to PB and if it is destroyed, so is the monster. |
SDRL-EN023 Spell Card The Shallow Grave Normal Spell Each player selects a monster in their Graveyard and Special Summons it in face-down Defense Position. (Common) Rating: 2 What hurts this card and brings its rating down is the fact that the monster is summoned face down. Other than that, not too bad. |
SDRL-EN022 Spell Card Giant Trunade Normal Spell Return all Spell and Trap Cards on the field to their owners' hands. (Common) Rating: 2 A pretty poor excuse to not worry about having your attack(s) stopped. Stick to Heavy Storm instead. |
SDRL-EN021 Spell Card Soul Exchange Normal Spell Select 1 monster your opponent controls. This turn, if you would Tribute a monster you control. Tribute the selected monster instead. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase during the turn that you activate this card. (Common) Rating: 2 Not much going for it. You can Tribute one of your opponent's monsters for one of your own but having to skip your Battle Phase doesn't help this card or you so keep this card in Kaiba Decks only. |
SDRL-EN020 Spell Card Foolish Burial Normal Spell Select 1 monster from your Deck and send it to the Graveyard. (Common) Rating: 3 Send a Crystal Beast monster to the Graveyard for summoning Rainbow Dragon more easily or drop a high-level monster to the Graveyard and bring it back with Premature Burial! Not bad overall! |
SDRL-EN019 Spell Card Trade-In Normal Spell Discard 1 Level 8 monster. Draw 2 cards. (Common) Rating: 2 This card can be somewhat useful if you have a Level 8 monster and nothing to summon it with and maybe getting better cards but odds are you'll get less than you bargained for. |
SDRL-EN018 Effect Monster Snipe Hunter DARK | Fiend | Level 4 | ATK 1500 | DEF 600 You can discard 1 card to select 1 card on the field and roll a six-sided die. If the result is not 1 or 6, destroy the selected card. (Common) Rating: 2 Despite having higher odds of destroying the card than not, his stats are low and you have to waste cards to use his effect, which can really hurt you if you constantly roll 1 or 6. An okay card but not a great card. |
SDRL-EN017 Effect Monster Majestic Mech - Goryu LIGHT | Fairy | Level 8 | ATK 2900 | DEF 1800 You can Normal Summon this card with 1 Tribute. If you do, it is sent to the Graveyard during the End Phase. During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. (Common) Rating: 2 Just shy of matching BEWD, his effect isn't too bad compared to monsters like Spiral Serpent yet he has no self-protection so you may want to use KSH to summon him but overall a pretty bad card. |
SDRL-EN016 Effect Monster Flame Ruler FIRE | Pyro | Level 4 | ATK 1500 | DEF 1600 This card is treated as 2 Tributes for the Tribute Summon of a FIRE monster. (Common) Rating: 2 Unlike TCI, he can be used for any FIRE monster not just one so he has slightly more playability but with stats of (1500/1600), you'll want to Tribute him for another monster. |
SDRL-EN015 Effect Monster The Creator Incarnate LIGHT | Warrior | Level 4 | ATK 1600 | DEF 1500 You can Tribute this card to Special Summon 1 "The Creator" from your hand. (Common) Rating: 1 Seeing as he's only useful for playing The Creator, he's pretty bad overall and his stats don't help either. |
SDRL-EN014 Effect Monster The Creator LIGHT | Thunder | Level 8 | ATK 2300 | DEF 3000 This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard. Once per turn, you can select 1 monster in your Graveyard, then send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard and Special Summon that monster. (Common) Rating: 2 For a level 8 monster, his stats aren't that impressive but his effects can give yourself an extra defense (or two if you discard a Dark World monster) and is supported by Kaiser Sea Horse but that's about it. |
SDRL-EN013 Effect Monster Masked Dragon FIRE | Dragon | Level 3 | ATK 1400 | DEF 1100 When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type monster with 1500 or less ATK from your Deck. (Common) Rating: 2 Stats of only (1400/1100) make his effect easy to activate but since the summoned monster can only have 1500 ATK or less to be summoned by MD, it's prone to BTH or being easily killed in battle. |
SDRL-EN012 Effect Monster Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6 FIRE | Dragon | Level 6 | ATK 2300 | DEF 1600 This card is unaffected by the effects of Spell Cards. During the End Phase of a turn that this card destroyed a monster by battle, you can send this card to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8" from your hand or Deck. (Common) Rating: 3 Being unaffected by Fissure, Shrink and Snatch Steal is nice but what hurts it is that it includes your Spell Cards his ATK is weak enough for even Tri-Horned Dragon (2350 ATK) to destroy. |
SDRL-EN011 Effect Monster Guardian Angel Joan LIGHT | Fairy | Level 7 | ATK 2800 | DEF 2000 When this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, gain Life Points equal to the original ATK of the destroyed monster. (Common) Rating: 2 For Life Point gain Decks, this card is okay for two Tributes but elsewhere, it's pretty bad. |
SDRL-EN010 Effect Monster Twin-Headed Behemoth WIND | Dragon | Level 3 | ATK 1500 | DEF 1200 If this card is destroyed and sent from the field to the Graveyard, Special Summon it during the End Phase of this turn with 1000 ATK and 1000 DEF. You can only use this effect once per Duel. (Common) Rating: 1 His low ATK and DEF only gets lower when Special Summoned by his effect and even then, he'll get trampled by even Bio-Mage used with Shield & Sword! |
SDRL-EN009 Effect Monster Tyrant Dragon FIRE | Dragon | Level 8 | ATK 2900 | DEF 2500 During your Battle Phase, if your opponent controls a monster after this card's first attack, this card can attack once again. Negate the effect of any Trap Card that targets this card, and destroy that Trap Card. If this card is Special Summoned from the Graveyard by another card's effect, you must Tribute 1 Dragon-Type monster. (Common) Rating: 1 Requiring two Tributes is bad enough. Throwing in having to Tribute an additional monster to revive him makes him even worse! Use Ultimate Tyranno instead. |
SDRL-EN008 Effect Monster Kaiser Sea Horse LIGHT | Sea Serpent | Level 4 | ATK 1700 | DEF 1650 This card can be treated as 2 Tributes for the Tribute Summon of a LIGHT monster. (Common) Rating: He's not that strong and can only become two Tributes for LIGHT monsters. Okay for Kaiba or LIGHT Decks but that's about it. |
SDRL-EN007 Effect Monster Morphing Jar EARTH | Rock | Level 2 | ATK 700 | DEF 600 FLIP: Both players discard their hands. Then both players draw 5 cards. (Common) Rating: 3 Decent for Dark World Decks or throwing out your bad/your opponent's good hand and replenish with a better/worse (for your opponent) one! |
SDRL-EN006 Effect Monster Gilford the Lightning (original artwork) LIGHT | Warrior | Level 8 | ATK 2800 | DEF 1400 You can Tribute 3 monsters to Tribute Summon this card. If you do, destroy all monsters your opponent controls. (Common) Rating: 2 Not the greatest card but Tribute him with 3 monsters and leave your opponent and/or yourself defenseless! |
SDRL-EN005 Effect Monster Spear Cretin DARK | Fiend | Level 2 | ATK 500 | DEF 500 FLIP: When this card is sent to the Graveyard after being flipped, each player Special Summons 1 monster from their Graveyard in face-up Attack Position or face-down Defense Position. (Common) Rating: 3 Bring out BEWD, Frostosaurus, Super Conductor Tyranno and even Valkyrion if properly summoned! Like Decoy Dragon, the newly summoned monster is susceptible to BTH. |
SDRL-EN004 Effect Monster Decoy Dragon FIRE | Dragon | Level 2 | ATK 300 | DEF 200 When this card is selected as an attack target by your opponent's monster, select 1 Level 7 or higher Dragon-Type monster from your Graveyard, Special Summon it and switch the attack target to that monster. (Common) Rating: 2 A 2/5 only because he can bring out BEWD without Tributes but even if that does happen, the new monster can be removed by BTH, leaving you one less defense. |
SDRL-EN003 Effect Monster Herald of Creation LIGHT | Spellcaster | Level 4 | ATK 1800 | DEF 600 Once per turn, you can discard 1 card from your hand to add 1 Level 7 of higher monster from your Graveyard to your hand. (Common) Rating: 3 Another 1800 ATK monster whose effect prevents it from getting a higher rating. |
SDRL-EN002 Effect Monster Darkblaze Dragon FIRE | Dragon | Level 7 | ATK 1200 | DEF 1000 When this card is Special Summoned from the Graveyard, its ATK and DEF increase to become twice its original ATK and DEF. When this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the ATK of the destroyed monster. (Common) Rating: 2 The ONLY reasons this card gets 2/5 is because when special summoned, it gets twice its original ATK and DEF as well as its Flame Wingman effect. Not a great card overall. |
SDRL-EN001 Effect Monster Felgrand Dragon LIGHT | Dragon | Level 8 | ATK 2800 | DEF 2800 This monster cannot be Special Summoned except from the Graveyard and only if it was sent there from the field. When this card is Special Summoned, select 1 monster in your Graveyard. This card gains ATK equal to the Level of that monster x 200. (Ultra Rare) Rating: 2 A pretty bad card. Not only is it two Tributes for 2800 ATK to which cannot defeat BEWD, but it also cannot be brought back directly from the Graveyard unless sent there from the field. |
